George, Henry & Katrine's seventh child, was born August 17, 1867 in Badbergan. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1884, the last child of Henry and Katrine to leave Germany. George returned to Germany the end of May, 1898, and stayed for two months.

George began a career as a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier and delivered mail from a horse and buggy. He married  Anna Amerkamp (born June 29, 1874) on March 22, 1899 at her parents' home in Greenview, Illinois. George worked as a postal carrier until his retirement.

George and Anna had three children, Leona Marie, born February 27, 1902, Rudolph Herman, born August 12, 1906 and Alma Louise, born September 29, 1908.
