Roger Busch, born in 1941, to Herbert & Nancy Lushear Busch, grew up in Millburn, New Jersey. He graduated in 1963 from Colgate University where he had been captain of the track team. The discus throwing record he set there still stands. In 1971 Roger and wife Andrea (married in 1971) raised two daughters in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Roger earned an MBA from Rutgers and obtained a CPA while working for the international public accounting firm now known as Ernst and Young. From there, Roger went into corporate financial management where he worked for over 25 years.
Though semi-retired by 2002, Roger has taken up discus throwing and competes in masters track and field meets at the national level. He also mentors young professionals involved in e-marketing services.
